The School Nutrition Association (SNA) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing  50,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. Recognized as the authority on school nutrition, SNA has been advancing the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1946.

Each year, state associations are required to submit their annual plans of action which outline the initiative(s) the state association will undertake related to the Areas of Focus of the SNA Strategic Plan

This form must be completed and submitted by November 1, 2025. This form informs SNA of the state's activities and is a required submission for the State President to be eligible for the President’s Award Service later this year. 

Background
 The SNA National Leadership Conference (NLC) purpose is to provide current and future state and national leaders the opportunity to learn critical information about successfully leading a nonprofit association, to network with other leaders from across the country, and to gain new skills to become a more effective and engaging leader.

Audience
 On average, the conference attracts 250 attendees from across the United States which include State Presidents-elect, Vice Presidents, State Executives, Treasurers, Legislative Chairs, Future Leaders, SNA Board Members, SNA committee members, and more.

SNA Delegate Assembly
Policy for Delegate Attendance: States are allowed one (1) delegate for each 600 members or major fraction thereof. Each state is allowed a minimum of two delegate. The number of delegates permitted for each state shall be established using the tally of members in that state as of May 31. Please provide summer addresses for all delegates.

Colorado SNA will award three (3) scholarships for CSNA members to attend LAC26. Scholarships will cover the cost of registration, hotel, and airfare. The recipient will be responsible for their own transportation to/from DIA, meals not included in the conference, and incidentals. The CSNA scholarship fund helps to empower Colorado SNA Director/Supervisor/Specialist members to grow in their advocacy efforts for child nutrition programs. 

The Frank & Erinn Massabni Scholarship Program will also provide members with the opportunity to attend SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC) March 8-10, 2026, in Washington, D.C. 

Frank & Erinn Massabni are committed to helping school nutrition professionals acquire the education they need to help feed millions of school children each year demonstrated by their investment in the School Nutrition Foundation's Conference Scholarships Program. 

Four (4) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to recipients in the states of CO, FL, MA, and TX, and one (1) $3,000 scholarship will be open to any national SNA member to attend LAC26. This application is for Colorado SNA members only. 

Application: Submit one application to be considered for the both scholarship opportunities offered to Colorado SNA members. 

COLORADO REQUIREMENTS
      To apply, individuals must be:  

  • Director/Supervisor/Specialist CSNA members 
  • Major City Director/Supervisor/Specialist CSNA members
  • CSNA member for at least 2 years 
  • SNA national member for at least 1 year (join date as of October 1, 2024) required to be considered for The Frank & Erinn Massabni LAC Scholarship 
  • State Agency and Industry members are not eligible
