The School Nutrition Association (SNA) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing  50,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. Recognized as the authority on school nutrition, SNA has been advancing the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1946.

The School Nutrition Foundation is committed to helping SNA members interested in the pursuit of professional development and becoming SNA Certified and maintaining their certificate. SNA’s Certificate Program aligns with USDA Professional Standards. 

The SNF Pathways Scholarship: SNA's Certificate Program will help alleviate the burden of the application, renewal, and reinstatement fees for eligible members. 

REQUIREMENTS: To apply for the scholarship, individuals must be: 

  • Current School Nutrition Employee, Manager or Director level SNA members
  • Eligible applicants must be a member of SNA for a minimum of one year as of April 1, 2025. 
  • State Agency and Industry members are not eligible    

The School Nutrition Foundation is committed to helping SNA members interested in the pursuit of professional development and sitting for the School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) credentialing exam. 

This new scholarship opportunity awards five (5) eligible members with a $774 scholarship each quarter to fully fund the: 

  • SNS Exam Application Fee 
  • SNS Study Guide Bundle 
  • On-Demand SNS Prep Course 

The SNS Credentialing Exam evaluates the knowledge and skills required to successfully lead school nutrition programs and teams. 

REQUIREMENTS: To apply for the scholarship, individuals must be: 

  • Current School Nutrition Employee, Manager or Director level SNA members
  • A member of SNA for a minimum of one year, as of April 1, 2025
  • Eligible to sit for the School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) credentialing exam
  • Must take the exam within the next 12 months 
  • State Agency and Industry members are not eligible    

SNA Delegate Assembly
Policy for Delegate Attendance: States are allowed one (1) delegate for each 600 members or major fraction thereof. Each state is allowed a minimum of two delegate. The number of delegates permitted for each state shall be established using the tally of members in that state as of May 31. Please provide summer addresses for all delegates.
