The School Nutrition Association (SNA) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing  50,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. Recognized as the authority on school nutrition, SNA has been advancing the availability, quality and acceptance of school nutrition programs as an integral part of education since 1946.

Each year, state associations are required to submit their annual plans of action which outline the initiative(s) the state association will undertake related to the Areas of Focus of the SNA Strategic Plan

This form must be completed and submitted by November 1, 2025. This form informs SNA of the state's activities and is a required submission for the State President to be eligible for the President’s Award Service later this year. 

SNA Delegate Assembly
Policy for Delegate Attendance: States are allowed one (1) delegate for each 600 members or major fraction thereof. Each state is allowed a minimum of two delegate. The number of delegates permitted for each state shall be established using the tally of members in that state as of May 31. Please provide summer addresses for all delegates.

Josephine Martin National Policy Fellow:
 Dr. Josephine Martin is a pioneer in the field of child nutrition. Launching her career at the Georgia Department of Education in 1950 as the assistant school lunch director, she soon became a vocal advocate for child nutrition, influencing legislation on the community, state and federal levels.

  • Awards up to $3,000 to one (1) selected fellow to attend and be recognized at SNA’s Legislative Action Conference, helping to defray travel expenses.
  • Eligibility: Be an active school nutrition employee or manager level member, who has been an SNA member for at least three years (October 1, 2022 - September 30, 2025); has never previously attended LAC; and has an interest in child nutrition policy.

The Josephine Martin National Policy Fellowship application will open on October 7, 2025. The deadline to apply is November 7, 2025.

Colorado SNA will award three (3) scholarships for CSNA members to attend LAC26. Scholarships will cover the cost of registration, hotel, and airfare. The recipient will be responsible for their own transportation to/from DIA, meals not included in the conference, and incidentals. The CSNA scholarship fund helps to empower Colorado SNA Director/Supervisor/Specialist members to grow in their advocacy efforts for child nutrition programs. 

The Frank & Erinn Massabni Scholarship Program will also provide members with the opportunity to attend SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC) March 8-10, 2026, in Washington, D.C. 

Frank & Erinn Massabni are committed to helping school nutrition professionals acquire the education they need to help feed millions of school children each year demonstrated by their investment in the School Nutrition Foundation's Conference Scholarships Program. 

Four (4) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to recipients in the states of CO, FL, MA, and TX, and one (1) $3,000 scholarship will be open to any national SNA member to attend LAC26. This application is for Colorado SNA members only. 

Application: Submit one application to be considered for the both scholarship opportunities offered to Colorado SNA members. 

COLORADO REQUIREMENTS
      To apply, individuals must be:  

  • Director/Supervisor/Specialist CSNA members 
  • Major City Director/Supervisor/Specialist CSNA members
  • CSNA member for at least 2 years 
  • SNA national member for at least 1 year (join date as of October 1, 2024) required to be considered for The Frank & Erinn Massabni LAC Scholarship 
  • State Agency and Industry members are not eligible

SNF Conference Scholarships will provide members with the opportunity to attend SNA’s Legislative Action Conference (LAC) 2026. SNF will award a total of fifteen (15) LAC scholarships. 

School Nutrition Association will sponsor ten (10) scholarships for LAC 2026. Five (5) of the scholarships will be awarded to first time attendees. Recipients of the SNA sponsored LAC scholarships will each receive $1,400 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.    

J.T.M Food Group will sponsor four (4) scholarships for LAC 2026. Two (2) of the scholarships will be awarded to first time attendees. Recipients of the J.T.M. Food Group sponsored LAC scholarships will each receive $1,000 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with his/her school district’s policy on out-of-district travel.

The Frank & Erinn Massabni Scholarship Program will sponsor five (5) scholarships for LAC 2026.  One (1) $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a first time attendee; all eligible applicants who use this submission form will be considered. Four (4) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to recipients in the states of CO, FL, MA, and TX (Please see those state association's websites to apply).

Super Bakery’s 22 Seconds Society in Memory of Franco Harris will sponsor eleven (11) scholarships for SNIC 2026. Six (6) of the scholarships will be awarded to first time attendees. Recipients of the Super Bakery sponsored SNIC scholarships will each receive $1,000 to cover registration, airfare, hotels, and meals. Each scholarship recipient must comply with their school district’s policy on out-of-district travel. 


REQUIREMENTS: To apply for the scholarship, individuals must be: 

  • Current School Nutrition Employee, Manager or Director level SNA members
  • Eligible applicants must be a member of SNA as of September 1, 2024
  • Members that joined after the stated deadline will NOT be eligible
  • Members that joined before the stated date ARE eligible
  • State Agency and Industry members are not eligible    
  • Only one scholarship per school district per conference 
  • The supervisor approval reference form must be included or the scholarship will not be considered*

The deadline for application submission is 10/24/2025.
